October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)! 💛
This year’s theme, Celebrating Value and Talent, reminds us of the skills, contributions, and potential people with disabilities bring to our workplaces and communities.
Let’s celebrate their achievements - and continue creating opportunities for everyone to contribute, grow, and thrive. ✨
Limitless Superstar of the Week
When Collette Divitto, a young woman with Down syndrome, struggled to find employment after college, she decided to create her own opportunity. With a passion for baking and a determination to succeed, she founded Collettey's Cookies, turning her love of baking into a business with a bigger purpose.
But Collette wasn't just building a cookie company. She was challenging assumptions about what people with disabilities can achieve in the workplace. Her mission is to create meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities, demonstrating that talent, ambition, and the desire to contribute are not defined by a diagnosis.
As we celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) and its 2026 theme, Celebrating Value and Talent, Collette's story reminds us that inclusion is about more than recognizing potential. It's about creating opportunities for people to put their talents to work, add value, and flourish! 💛
