Limitless Superstar of the Week
Oksana Masters is a Paralympic champion whose journey began under extraordinarily difficult circumstances. Born in Ukraine with multiple limb differences and other physical disabilities, she spent the first seven years of her life in three orphanages and endured a deeply challenging childhood. At seven, she was adopted and found a loving home in the United States.
Her challenges continued after arriving in the U.S. Oksana underwent numerous surgeries and eventually had both legs amputated. As a teenager, she discovered adaptive rowing - and with it, a new sense of possibility. Sports became more than competition; they became a source of healing, confidence, and strength.
That young girl went on to become one of America's most accomplished Paralympians, competing across rowing, cycling, cross-country skiing, and biathlon. Yet perhaps the most inspiring part of Oksana’s journey isn’t the medals - it’s how far she has come, and how she now uses her story to help others see possibility in themselves. 💛
